Wishcraft Wednesday: Reading.

What do you wish to read?

Well, I have several books that look at me with sorrowful eyes at being left festering on the shelf, whilst some doe-eyed seducers smile at me from my Amazon wishlist. 

But right now, right now, what I really want to do is climb up into the loft and unearth my old diaries.  I want to re-read my past, my old self.  I hope to laugh, cry (& cringe with embarrasment), whilst finding nuggets of my authentic self & abandoned dreams that might enjoy rekindling. 

I have a few other things that need to get done first.  Its kinda dusty up there in the loft...

    I think this is a beautiful wish. Rekindling abandoned dreams sounds like a wonderful thing to do. As Jacs wishes for herself, I wish for her as well.

    What I do from time to time is to read what I was doing exactly a year ago, five years ago, ten, twenty ... I guess I´ll be going upstairs now too- thanks for the inspiration. :)

    What a beautiful idea. I think I'll go dig out my old journals and explore the woman I used to be. I really hope you find the time to explore your old dreams, and I hope you find a few you can breathe new life into.

    There is something so wonderful about reading our own lives with a bit of time and perspective. (And yes, embarassment at moments).

    I have a pile of books a mile high by the side of my bed... but do you think i can manage a page when i eventually hit the sack!
    I wasn't really a diary keeper, although I was a huge letter writer, can't wait to hear what golden nuggets you find, x

    It's always a pleasurable, yet cringe-worthy experience to re-read journals. So much energy in the words! It's good to know we've learned. :)
